Topic: October 16, Dimp preview 1.10: show the Tiger some love

Dimp preview 1.10 is finally here! And it’s on time, in some time zones at least, heh.

Citing the release notes:

This is a Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger-oriented update that greatly enhances the user interface (on Tiger) and addresses several issues.

  • Enhanced interface on Tiger, looks much like the Leopard version now. Much cleaner.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented a blank Dimp document from opening at startup in Tiger.

  • Fixed an issue with the ghost image not disappearing when the mouse leaves the timeline, in Tiger.

It needs a lot of just work but it is good though it needs to not have an auto feature that makes the guy like move a way like if you want a punch like i tried i animated him to the punching point but then it went under the neck and it just looked like a jab and also it needs something where just they can create stick figures.

While SL introduced few actual features I think it’s a good and important step forward, and an important OS release. I wouldn’t write it off as just an expension pack.

However, code written for Leopard is very forward compatible with Snow Leopard. I haven’t found any inconsistencies between Leopard and Snow Leopard at all, so far. So as long as my PowerBook keeps chugging along, I’ll try to test on Tiger every now and then.

Could you maybe upload that file or take a few screenshots so I can see what you’re trying to do and why it didn’t work as intended?

True!

Already expired. Though it's the latest one. Crap.

Guys, I’m sorry. Please go to http://dimp-animator.com and grab 1.10b which removes the expiry. I’ll give some more explanation shortly.
