Yes,how was your Christmas?
Well mine was beautiful,great weather,we went skiing today,and everything was great 
also,everyone have a great new year,GO MAC!
I was thinking of starting a Christmas-orientated thread.
My Christmas was alright. We celebrated it more on Boxing Day though (26/12), because I spent 9 hours in the car on Christmas Day itself.
What's more I've barely received any of my presents still (even though a couple of weeks ago it was also my birthday), but I should soon - including a new MacBook!
Christmas was epic.
Dude are you getting a MacBook for Christmas? That's awesome. Over the last few weeks my PowerBook battery has been dying. It runs for 15 min on battery now 
I took my iBook G4 to school once, battery went down to 67% because I was using it, so I decided to change the settings to "Better Energy Savings". Never went past 67 again. 
Now it's gone down to not exceeding 34% or something.
Yes I will be getting a new MacBook. I'm aiming to convince my Grand-father to get me the intermediate-level MacBook, as I believe it's far superior to the base-model, but he will need some convincing. (Oh quick note - please help me find good arguments. 
)
I use iMacs,100% battery unless you unplug it

I survive with my MacBook. 
Good thing is with "Airport" and my wi-fi modem, I'll be able to sit anywhere in my house accessing broadband internet.

My christmas was awesome Me and my family stayed in a hotel that did 'Indoor putting' - Which was basically crazy golf except in the hotel. So ball were everywhere, some courses you had to go into elevators or down 3 flights of stairs. And I bought myself a new beautiful iMac:

I just got lots of money... Oh that's right, I'll also be getting a new MacBook (fingers crossed for Aluminium).

Though I'll have to really hope that it's aluminium. (Spelt Aluminium, it's no wonder you americans can't pronounce it properly if you keep forgetting the "i".)
Sean, there is no governing body for the English language (as far as I know) so there are only conventions. In the USA, people write and say Aluminum. Big deal.

Well when I spell aluminium it thinks it's spelled wrong So yeah, aluminum in america, aluminium wherever you are
I refuse to accept "Aluminum" on the basis that Aluminium was first, therefore is correct, and the first form forces you to actually pronounce the word completely differently - and therefore falsely (unlike "colour" vs. "color").
Then shouldn't you be speaking Dickens-era English? Or Shakespearian? Language evolves.

But, on this I have to side with Sean; language is a beautiful thing, and is not to be tossed around carelessly. Modern language has just become more and more lazy, but some people wish to appreciate it in its full glory. In some cases evolving can be a bad thing, and I believe language is one of those cases.
And aliminum was probably just a typing error by pork

My Grand-father has all the Jeeves and Wooster episodes on DVD and we used to watch them, that was one of my first comedy-series. It's still a fantastic series and I recommend you watch it (somehow).
And no, "Aluminum" is how it's written in America (unfortunately), but it's those same people who are destroying our language with simplifications such as "Drive-thru" (although it is largely more phonetical, and therefore sensical).
Yeah "Drive-thru" really ticks me off. Is it that hard to spell "Through"?
