No, I think there's no reason not to be open about this 
Right now I'm adding the theater thing. I have to rework the website a bit and then make some changes to Dimp to get it together working smoothly. The next Dimp release will be mainly for Dimp theater.
Next I'm planning to work on user experience. The timeline could use an upgrade to show more clearly what's going on. And I'd like to make it possible to drag keyframes in the timeline too so that you can change how fast something moves.

Dimp 1.0 could be out in not too much time - but it won't have all the great concepts that will surely feature in the application.
When will you get your hands on the official Dimp 1.0? I don't think it will take another 5 months. When will all the features we have planned get implemented? Only time will tell.
